Arab Sustainable Development Report 2020

Who’s behind it? – United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA)

How can it help? – The Arab Sustainable Development Report 2020 charts the regional trajectory for achieving the 2030 Agenda, and analyses where the region stands on the 17 Goals. It offers a quantitative and qualitative analysis of each SDG in relation to the global indicator framework adopted by the UN General Assembly in 2017. 

However this is not a progress report. It offers an analysis of the root causes that undermine achievement of the SDGs in the region. The report also highlights SDG interlinkages, examines the main barriers to achievement, sheds light on those most at risk of being left behind, and identifies the most critical entry points for moving forward.
