Who’s behind it? – Multi-Stakeholder Platform on the Implementation of the SDGs

How can it help? – This is an advisory report to the European Commission by the Multi-Stakeholder Platform on the Implementation of the SDGs in the EU. This report seeks to advise the European Commission on implementing the SDGs through adjusting the next Multi-Annual Financial Framework of the EU (MFF). The platform stresses the urgent need to tackle sustainability challenges at an EU level. It underlines that policy coherence for sustainable development is a fundamental requirement to realize the transformative nature of the 2030 Agenda and to implement the SDGs. The MFF post 2020 should thus ensure that only policies, measures and actions are funded that support sustainable development.
