Metals & Mining: Making a Positive Contribution to the SDGs

Who’s behind it? – International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM)

How can it help? – The International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) has produced an online resource which maps how mining and metals connect with the SDGs. For each of the 17 SDGs, this resource highlights the key factors that companies should be aware of in order to make a positive contribution to the realization of the goal in question. It also gives examples of actions that companies can take in order to minimize negative maximize positive impacts. A useful resource for companies within the mining and metals value chain as they start to explore ways in which to align themselves with the SDG agenda.
